@m417z I ran into a problem today when updating to 1.1. Now the taskbar is back at the bottom. Though when I click start the menu shows at the top left. Reinstall/restart did not work. Any idea for a fix?
Hi @JustinTenz, please create a new issue and attach debug logs by following the instructions on the Troubleshooting page: https://github.com/ramensoftware/windhawk/wiki/Troubleshooting#some-or-all-windhawk-mods-dont-work
- Disable the mod.
- Go to the mod's Advanced tab.
- Set Debug logging to Detailed debug logs.
- Click on Show log output.
- Enable the mod.
- Verify that the mod doesn't work, copy the log and save it to a file.
- Set Debug logging back to None.

Here is a list of problems I have faced, from "deal breaker" to "mild inconvenience".
This has already been covered by #730, so there shouldn't be a need for me to elaborate.

I know the clock has been addressed, but some other icons like the microphone are also sideways. ![clockAndMic](https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/59ee10a7-0484-4e61-826e-aa2dc218948b)

It's almost guaranteed for icons to disappear after opening their corresponding program, and the opening animation where the icon bounces is also not right. https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/d2209004-64ff-41bb-bb2c-0ea488f5c319

To get an idea of what I am talking about, here is a recording of the default Windows 11 taskbar, flipped in the video. This video shows what the default, unmodified animations should look like. https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/eddde875-63d7-4b6a-95bd-2379a931a132 The "bounce" I am talking about is the translation of the icon up and down (left and right for vertical taskbar) when a window is minimized, restored, opened, or closed. With the mod on, these translations do not occur properly and the icon either doesn't move or moves incorrectly. https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/aa860a75-bd49-4ff8-bf20-cf9fa1c64e95 In this example, the icon only translates when a window is restored, and nothing happens when minimized. It only "bounces" to the right. https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/b53f3d1f-c382-4e95-82e2-090efa93d937 In this example, there are no translations at all, and only the scale effect can be seen. There are no "bounces". Something similar also happens when opening a program that is not pinned to the taskbar. Normally it slides in from the bottom (left in this case) when opened and slides back out when closed, both using the same "bouncing" animation. https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/45992b94-60d4-473f-a0cb-a6c4219183b0 In this example, the run icon correctly slides out, but incorrectly slides in. **These are all minor details and no functionality is affected by these issues, it is only cosmetic.**
This has already been covered by #756.

The context menu is nowhere near the start button. https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/ecffc7f9-70b7-4742-b70f-6e88cdcadc25

When you close a window using the window preview, it gets shifted/cut off so that it is difficult to close other windows without reopening the window preview flyout. https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/60859b55-b48e-4784-a054-87b50ab7b10f

Not sure if this is intentional or not because the other icons do not increase in size, and this behavior was not present in Windows 10's vertical taskbar. https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/d365ae40-7f9e-483a-b1e5-b14f59fd949d

When you minimize a program, it shrinks to what looks to be the position of the icon if the taskbar was on top, and not on the left. https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/737dfe8d-ed27-4ec1-9393-89742f36d579

The jumplists when you right click a program's icon are cut off if the program is near the top of the screen. https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/5457ce3f-53f2-4da3-b684-f7ee4866cbcd

The menu still flys in from the bottom, and is a bit far from the taskbar. https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/434fbf1a-796d-4355-84f2-62a00ca9b592
If you move your cursor to the very top left corner of the screen, you cannot open the start menu, you have to move your cursor slightly to the right. Same goes for the show desktop button but on the lower left corner.

> I never tried it, and I was pretty sure it'd crash or screw up the taskbar beyond recognition. It wasn't that bad. It has a funny animation instead, and the taskbar is even usable some of the time, and seems to be back to normal when autohide is disabled. https://github.com/ramensoftware/windhawk-mods/discussions/882#discussioncomment-10508869 https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/ce989f88-f172-41ef-935d-9ef549d8aa69

There is a new bug I have found regarding the start menu when using the Windows 11 Start Menu Styler mod. If the start menu is too long (e.x. the all apps list is shown along with pinned) it will get cut off. ![startMenuNormal](https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/4f5a5756-adbb-4b19-be5f-b715b51f7175) My edited version of the "SideBySide2" start menu theme displaying normally with bottom taskbar. ![clippedStartMenu](https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/8232f941-c9ad-48eb-9f0b-ea268a584a41) That same theme clipped at the right side with vertical taskbar. ![theOldSignOutMenuWasBetter](https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/c7c7f40f-ae47-4362-a547-a593fe1b8b06) Also, the new sign out + Microsoft advertisement thingy gets cut off. The old sign out menu was so much better...

The multi window element that appears when you have more than one window open with grouped taskbar buttons doesn't stretch across the whole button. You could maybe flip it and put it on the right side of the button or find a way to stretch it to keep it on the bottom. Default win11 taskbar has it at the right though. ![image](https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/265c9a60-a8e3-47e4-9ad2-a35eb8707238)
