No mods shown due to "unable to get local issuer certificate"

I did check the troubleshooting page page.

The Windhawk app does not show any mods. In the lower right corner, it says:

request to https://mods.windhawk.net/catalog.json failed, reason: unable to get local issuer certificate

I am able to retrieve the catalog.json file e.g. with an internet browser so it is accessible.

My system is a business laptop with a bunch of "security" apps like ZScaler, BeyondTrust and Forcepoint.

What can I do about it?

It might be similar to this issue: https://github.com/ramensoftware/windhawk/issues/134 Unfortunately, there's no good workaround at this point. You still can use Windhawk by installing mods manually from the website:

• Find the mod(s) you like here: https://windhawk.net/mods
• Go to the Changelog, click on the date link near the latest version, and click on the copy button on GitHub to copy the code.
• Launch Windhawk, click on "Create a New Mod".
• Replace the template code with the code you copied, click Compile, then exit editing mode.

You'll also have to update it manually when updates are released. Not ideal, but it should work.
