Text Customizeability #241

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
I'd settle for customizeable text color, but adjustable font and font size
would be nice as well.

Even an option to add a dark shadow behind the font would be welcomed, so it
looks more like cLock for CM10.1. On lighter backgrounds it's impossible to
read the widget, which is what keeps me from using it.

Drop shadow for text would be a brilliant addition, since you could have the
text readable on lighter backgrounds in the homescreen without using the really
ugly opaque black background.

I agree. It's impossible to read white text if you have a white or even just a
light background. I would love customizable font colors, or a drop shadow to
help differentiate the text from background. Really hope this one makes it to
the next update!

Yes please allow font color change. It's hard to see white.

I'd love to see that option.

There's also a separate request for adjustable font size.

This is the only reason I don't use it...also, if there was a way to keep it in
expanded view rather than having to swipe down to see previews, that would be
much better...but I think that's more of an android/default phone setting.

@Thinkb... If you run custom ROMs, you may be able to force an automatically
expanded widget. I used to have this issue, but most ROMs on my Galaxy Nexus
have this feature, so you may want to research that if you do root. It should
be under the lockscreen options within your ROM controls.

+1. The widget is literally unusable on a light lockscreen wallpaper. Either
allow me to customize the font color or allow me to adjust the background
opacity like I can with the homescreen widget. Thanks!

My phone was updated to Android 4.3 and I lost the native weather lock screen
display. This app gives me even more information if I could read it. My back
ground image as a mix of light and dark areas. This translates to some text
being readable and some not. From what I can tell I would love this app/widget
if I could change the text color. Thanks and I look forward to future updates.

Yes, drop shadow would be a great addition!

Better Dashclock has all these features - customizable font color, thickness
and even drop shadowing. But I hate it because it keeps bugging me for my money.
