What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Add dashclock as widget on home screen
2. Add a battery extension or weather extension
3. Notice no updates occur to widget except for clock
4. Lock and unlock home screen and notice updates now show up

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

I am expecting the extensions to display updates such as battery percentage or
temp change as they happen. Instead, I have to lock and unlock the screen for
this to occur.

What version of the product are you using?
1.0

Which device and Android version are you experiencing this issue on?
Nexus 7 and Nexus 4 with stock Android 4.2.1

Please provide any additional information below.

Very fair concern. The traedeoff I made was to not update too frequently
because it could use a lot of resources and have a negative battery impact. A
status widget in my opinion should NOT have battery implications so I decided
against too-frequent updates.

This same issue also appears to happen with the dashclock extension for Press,
and for Gmail after reading posts / emails and exiting the application the
widget only updates after locking and unlocking. Is it possible to make it
update whenever the home screen is brought to the foreground?

I've also tried to use DC on the lock-screen and on the home screen, but I gave
up.
Example why:
- I switch on the phone and see that there are new tweets.
- I click on the lock-screen to read the tweets.
- After reading the tweets and exiting the app the widget on the home screen
still shows that I have new tweets.

That's unusable. Can't the widget watch the status-bar for changed
notifications?
