Here's a screenshot
http://bagofiles.free.fr/ebookdroid.png
As shown, the margins are not cropped, and when I scroll up/down with my thumb,
the text moves sideways (left, right).

Please also attach full page (without any cropping).

It makes no difference whether cropping is on or off. I closed, re-opened the
PDF just to check, but it still goes sideways when I scroll up/down, so margins
are cropped.

here's the PDF that I was reading when I noticed the issue
www.fossil-scm.org/schimpf-book/doc/tip/fossilbook.pdf
As recap, I'd like
- side margins to be cropped, so as to maximize reading space
- vertical scrolling without text moving sideways

Cropping works normally - pls see attached screenshots.
Pay attention that each book has own cropping flag in "Book settings" dialog.
The common cropping flag in "All settings" dialog is used only on first book
access.

Good to enough. I think it'd be better that the All Books settings apply to all
books from then on, not just to the first time a book was opened.
Also, even with changing the setting for that PDF and closing/reopening it, I
have to scroll sideways to see the whole text (screenshot attached).
Is this due to the PDF or some other setting I should change?

What zoom level are you using? At zoom 1.0x it should fit width. If it does not
fit, then I think it is caused by your system bar on the right - it is not
standard Android behavoiur. Your ROM somehow customized to use that systembar
on the right.

That did it: Zoom was set at 1.16. Bringing it back to 1.00 solved the problem.
The ROM is the standard that came with the Samsung. I was just holding it
sideways for wider space.
Thank you.
