Dynamic/on-demand content loading #315

The Climate Action Projects product has really shone a light on this issue - they use a LOT of pretty large images in the Storylines product. In my Firefox console, it seems every single image is getting downloaded completely, leaving the maps in a long "loading" mode while the client waits to download the mapping assets.

Is there a way to make the downloading of assets an "on-demand" feature, that is, the client only downloads the content if they navigate to that slide? Instead of downloading everything up front?
