I like the first idea. If you take a look at my another project, tagfs on
http://code.google.com/p/tagfilesystem/, KGPU can actually help to generate
tags automatically for files by using ML on Google search and on user
behaviours. I know object recognition researchers did image search on Google to
assistant learning process. Maybe general files can be the same, say, search a
DLL or lib name on Google and analyse the results to find its information and
hence generate tags.
The second one seems a more userspace application, although I am not quite sure
because OS kernels are getting larger and larger. Who knows, maybe future OSes
will provide speech recognition natively.
