Link to KMZ in a popup brings up broken href in GE5 #239

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

Which products are affected?
Google Earth 5

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Load a sample KML at http://www.comlmaps.org/gallery/v5_kmz_issue.kml
2. Open a balloon of the placemark (there is only one placemark)
3. Click "Sample station..." in the ballon which loads a KMZ from
http://www.comlmaps.org/gallery/area_kml/CMarZ_v3.kmz
4. The KMZ contains four ground overlays each of which is written like
<GroundOverlay>
  <Icon>
    <href>CMarZ_ArcGIS_ne_v3.png</href>
  </Icon>
</GroundOverlay>
But the images are not loaded.

Notes: If you load the KMZ directly, the images show up. It seems that the
KMZ loaded from a link in a popup somehow alters <href> and fails to load
the images.

What is the expected output or behavior? What do you see instead?
The four gound overlays in the loaded KMZ should show four images covering
the globe. Instead, it fails to fetch the images and shows "X" marks.

What application versions (if any) are you using?
Google Earth 5

Which operating systems and browsers are affected?
Windows XP and Mac OS X

Please provide any additional information (code snippets/links) below.
