xip.io mitigation plan #174

xip.io has been shut down in May. Currently xip.io is wildcard DNS domain used for automatically generated ingress hostnames. What is the intended plan to mitigate this situation?

This repository already uses nip.io as a Wildcard DNS service for the Rancher URL. Within Rancher you can edit the used domain under Settings -> ingress-ip-domain.

The change of the default value for this setting is being done here: https://github.com/rancher/rancher/pull/32807
