Basic approach as in #1 just generates uniform through the 2^24 colours, but would like more pleasing colour choices, so could extend approach to e.g.:
generate random results from a preset list of fixed colours
generate random results replicating approaches in other generated palettes, e.g. randomly along a fixed radious on a colour wheel, which may give "nicer" colours.
