Replace trunk with v1.2a #2

Goal of the task:
The trunk is not currently in a working state.  It includes partial 
implementations for the fully vectorized version of simEngine.  The last 
working release was in v1.2a.  That should be move into the trunk and the code 
currently in the trunk should be part of an experimental release.

Requested Task Steps:
1. Move the trunk to a directory called experimental
2. Copy v1.2a back to the trunk
