There is/was a device called HardSid, which is a USB-device with physical SID chips inside (6581/8580).
I've heard that VICE supports this, as well as apps like SidPlayer and GoatTracker.
Would it be theoretically possible to address a physical SID through an interface with a Raspi, using BMC64?
