Save default display for 128 mode #206

Currently, the state of the 128 80 column mode is saved... but the boot display always comes up with the blank (VICII) 40 column display. Then you need to navigate the config menu and flip over to the 80 column (VDC) display.

It would be great if this could be saved so that you can default to VDC on a cold boot. It might be even cooler if there was a way to define this as another line in the machines.txt file so you can flip between a 40 and 80 column 128.

I put skip_raster2=true but there is no crt shader :( its just like first

It doesn't add the shader to the VDC. It just fakes a raster line effect by drawing every alternate line after the native image is scaled up. It should look like the picture you posted to the forum.

Randy sorry but with my monitor it's out of range

there is for C128 PAL HDMI VICE 720P 60 HZ ??? 50HZ for me it's out of range

Randy in the new version 4.0 there'll be possibility for save in the VCD 80 columns mode for C128 and reboot in the video VDC???
