MythBox screens only show half #27

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Went through installing this on my Mythbuntu 9.04 install. (XBMC runs great)
2. Wget the Mythbox (newest edition), unzip it to my .xbmc/scripts dirctory
3. Run it from XBMC scripts menu. Mythbox only shows a quarter of the
screen when it is loaded up.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Should show what your screenshoot show, but I only see a quarter of the
screen.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Mythbox = Beta 3 (SVN 1062) Released - OS = Mythbuntu 9.04

Please provide any additional information below.

TV is only able to show up to 480i/480p (1024/768 vga). Sony WEGA

Known issue with legacy non-WindowXML screen. Will be fixed as each screen is
re-written in WindowXML. The 'Recording Details' screen has been updated,
though. You
can verify this by going to MythBox -> Watch Recordings -> Select a recording.
Is the
entire screen filled?

The entire screen is filled but only shows a quarter of the screen in the XBMC
window, even after resizing the window. Seems like the screen is set to
specific
settings and not a screen % in the coding of the window.

Neither of the screenshots is of the fixed screen - Recording Details. Let me
rephrase the question; does the Recording Details screen look correct?

After re-reading your very first post and then the last, I went back an went in
to
the Recording Details of Watching Recordings and everythhing looked normal. So
you
are correct it does fill the whole screen. Which must have to do with
re-writing the
WindowsXML. I am hoping to see this happen soon as I am very happy with Mythbox
plugin. It gives MythTV the avalibility of using a wonderful frontend such as
XBMC.

How long till the WindowsXML is all re-written?

Thx

When I get time :) So Settings and Recording Details are done. The following
screens are left:
- Home screen
- Recordingds
- LiveTV
- Upcoming Recordings
- Schedules

Live TV is up next and Recordings and/or HomeScreen after that...

Is there someway I might be able to help you? I am very interested in making
this
work for everone. It's a great plugin! I would be glad to login when you have
time
and test it with you, or if you give me instruction on the screen settings and
what
needs to change on the files, I could help with adjusting the code. Let me know
if I
can help in anyway.

Thx

All legacy non-windowxml code has been purged from the source code. Goodbye half
filled/overfilled screens. svn 1796
