default.py ui Name error not defined ver 1260

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Copied the script to the user xbmc scripts dir per README
2. start XBMC ( No other customization done except myth is a video source
live tv works.)
3. Run script

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

svn1260 on xbmc 9.04 python 2.5.4-r3  on Sabayon 4.2 a gentoo based Linux OS.

Please provide any additional information below.
I am new to both MythTV and Mythbox and HTPCs in general.  I am not posting
this to be a pain, but in a somewhat ignorant hope of being helpful to the
project in general.

Exactly the same problem here, on a x86_64 ubuntu with python 2.6.2
