No message icon in tray (clist_modern) #1455

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
Miranda Version : 0.9.32
Unicode Build : Yes
Test Build # (if applicable) : --
Plugin Version # (if applicable) : 0.9.10

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Go to options -> Contact list -> Tray tab, set: 'single click interface',
and 'disable icon blinking' and in the 'system tray icon mode' select one of
the options that IS NOT global (i.e. on of the accounts)
2. receive some messages while being offline
3. connect

What is the expected result?
After the connect, if there is a new message the icon should change to the msg
icon and stay that way

What happens instead?
I can see only the protocol icon (and sometimes for a split second the msg icon
'blinks')

Side comment:
it's highly annoying because after the reconnect I may not see new messages,
and static icon is way better (for me) as it presents less distraction.

I can't confirm this with the provided information. Please update Modern
contact list and TabSRMM and try without 3rd party plugins.

(same without version info, but afterwards I enabled it to get the above data)

and it's still happening - the icon split-second blinking but the protocol icon
is persistent and dominant.

additional info: it seems that with the same options (disable icon blinking)
it's working just fine under clist_classic

I get the message icon when those 3 settings are like you described. Either
this is a problem with your Miranda installation or there's some other factors
that clist_classic doesn't have.

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
I have tested this on the clean profile and it seems to work. Probably some
other option is responsible for that. It's weird however that in my case it
seems to be triggered by changing protocol/global selection of the icon
