Hi there,
my feature request refers to the Jabber-Protocol of Miranda IM.
Alongside Jabber on my desktop computer i use BombusMod since a few weeks, a
jabber client for mobile phones based on J2ME, on my Nokia. Now i am online on
my mobile and my desktop, great so far.
But theres one thing on BombusMod that is much better solved than it is in
Miranda:
If i go online on my Nokia, the new online resource (myself on the Nokia)
appears as an temporary contact in the Miranda IM root group => solved badly!!
In BombusMod an extra group named "self-contact" is automatically created in
which my own resources are listed, in my case "Domi/Home" and "Domi/Nokia6303"
(see my attached screenshot).
In Miranda this is unfortunately not the case, but why?
It is very well-arranged in BombusMods way.
The same applies for the "transports" group in BombusMod. Here they are
exemplary listed in a separate group named "transports".
It seems transports are not recognized as such by miranda, so they appear
likewise in the contactlist as normal contacts.
And last but not least:
why is the XMPP-protocol-DLL in Miranda IM still called jabber.dll?
Since Jabber is a dated term, it should be xmpp.dll, not?
Thanks so far,
Domi
