I've been using f.lux on Windows since 2015 and there really isn't a good alternative to it on Linux (f.lux for Linux doesn't work). One of its features I use the most is brightness control with Alt + PageUp/Down and I couldn't reproduce it on Linux.
Since we already got Activate/Deactivate (like f.lux with Alt + End), it would be super handy to also have brightness control shortcut, even if we currently have that by scrolling the applet icon since it's not very practical (requires precision, etc)
