Seems to not work on modern LaTeX #2

Hi, this seems to not work any longer. Am I right in thinking it is hardcoded to work on older versions and no longer triggers on this LaTeX 3 lua thing that seems to have installed on my computer at some point?

Hi @jonalv . I actually haven't tried this code for a very long time, and definitely not with LaTeX 3. I welcome tests and patches, but have no time to look into it myself at the moment.
