Sure it is possible, but it would require making Metasploit and its dependencies 2 different packages, one that is updated less frequently than metasploit's core, probably the database.

Since this, the update size has subsequently increased by around 100MB.
My slowest weekly update by FAR :p
Now up to 386MB

Is it possible to "optmize" update process ? Each update take 200MB to be download, is it possible to reduce update size ? I have at least 1 update per week ( is not a problem ! :+1: , thanks you ! :1st_place_medal: ) but it's very hard to maintain this package updated due to the bandwith usage.

Current behavior
Each update require ~230 MB to be downloaded which is too much for me.
System stuff
Apt-based system ( i tried on: Ubuntu, Debian, Kubuntu )
I installed Metasploit with:
