Potential match scores not updating for existing potential matches when child records are edited

Scenario

An enquiry has been created which matches existing child records. These child records are thus shown under the Matches section of that enquiry, along with their scores.
When any of the records is edited in such a way as to increase its likelihood to match (such as by adding more matching terms to a number of fields), when this record is saved, there is no change in that record's score.

Expectation: The score for that record should be updated

Note: In the above case, if the corresponding enquiry is saved again without making any changes to any of its fields, then the score for the altered child record actually changes. This suggests that an update to the score on the corresponding enquiries is not being triggered when changes are made to child records
