Hi. Recently I've installed KUbuntu 16.04 in VMware Workstation 12.1.0 (host is Windows 7 64-bit) and vmware-tools-patches in KUbuntu using a default recommended method under root:
I see that both the auto-fit and the shared clipboard (Windows host <-> KUbuntu) work fine. However after installing libgtkmm-2.4-1v5 both the auto-fit and the shared clipboard stop working. The VM screen is resized to 800x600. If I manually rename /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/libgdkmm-2.4.so.1.1.0 to /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/libgdkmm-2.4.so.1.1.0.xxx and reboot, these features start to work fine again. I believe the VmWare Tools conflict with this particular GDK version.
