Ah, the good old ADV748x that Analog Devices didn't want to help me with, they even snubbed the guys at Anglia components. I sincerely hope you get the dev board Dave and get it working too. I was going to use this part but after the initial hassles and not needing 1080p with anything other than hdmi, I decided to use the ADV7280A-M for sd video and the Toshiba part for hdmi. Toshiba have been absolutely amazing with help and even providing parts for our first batch due to the lead times.
Good luck Dave!! Kind Regards, Dan
Thank you very much both for the advise and for taking the time to help me. I will keep you updated as soon as we move forward on this.
Best regards.
Hello, Can you share the hardware details of ISL79987? I drew a pcb to use ISL79987, but it is not working. Can you help me with the issue? Thank you
I've already made an ADV7280A-M board and sold 2 to a person in Germany.
@danriches I'm also interested in purchasing/ordering boards for the ADV7280 Analog to CSI adapter. I can populate the components, but if you already have fully working boards for sale online I would buy one. If you don't want to ship to USA, I would like to use your design to order a batch of pcbs.
Thank you, J
Hi, nice work by the way and I'd love to use what you have here. I'm trying to use the ISL79987 and have the full datasheet from Renesas. So far I've configured the chip and I can see data on the MIPI port which isn't there before configuration, so I'm fairly certain it's configured ok. How would I proceed to use your code to pull a still image over the MIPI bus? I'm fairly new to Linux interfacing and am a very accomplished electronics hardware engineer with lots of Windows C# and some Linux C in my belt so all I really need are some pointers. Or I can send you the datasheet if you want, I didn't need to sign an NDA so I won't be breaching any t's & c's.
In fact any pointers on how to go further, even if I use my own code to setup the encoder, would be great. Should I be looking at using MMAL to get the data back?
Many Thanks, Dan
