After i read this i though good I now know hoe to adjust the Aperture and focus on the subject lens, but allas it did not work, so based on your recommendation I went to the forum and raised a post to try and get help.

https://forums.raspberrypi.com/viewtopic.php?p=2273426#p2273426

But after a number of day, nothing of any interest has been coming though, please note the response from RPi Engineer https://forums.raspberrypi.com/memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=241864..

Hi @ejwjohn,

I edited your error report to fix the urls because they did not resolve.

I see there is a recent reply on that thread which asks if you could provide a photo of the lens and mount in question. The reply also has some important questions that will help the community understand your particular situation.

Please continue with the forum discussion, as we are not able to provide the same kind of community dialogue here on the book errata site. The number of lens and lens adapters available on the market is quite massive, and each one has its own purpose that it is well-suited to.

If you do find an error in the book, please do report it here, and we will be sure to correct it in a future printing.

Thanks,

Brian

Hi John, please find GitHub's link formatting documentation here: https://docs.github.com/en/get-started/writing-on-github/getting-started-with-writing-and-formatting-on-github/basic-writing-and-formatting-syntax#links

When you add a link with the GitHub editor menu, it puts "url" in as the link target, and you need to replace the word "url" with your link. For example, if you get:

You need to change it to:

Please note that while we use GitHub for our errata, we are not affiliated with them, and as such, are not well-equipped to provide support for using GitHub itself.

Best,

Brian

Brian,

Thank you for this info...

In respect to the original issue here, I have taken a close look at the pages where you discuss the Focus on this lens and it would appear that your lens and the one I am having difficulties with are the same??

I am also about to update the Forum response.

You're welcome, John. We'll keep this issue open, and will follow the forum discussion with interest. We will update this errata and future revisions of the book as needed based on the outcome of the thread.

Best,

Brian
