Cannot Search AT ALL #123

Platform:
Mac 

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. search a word...nothing happens
2. the index disappears during the search
3. press the X to quit the search and the index tree reappears

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect to be able to search for a word in the text and find it highlighted.  
It does not find any search data at all.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
1.4.2
Mac OS X

Hi,

The problem is the file is HUGE (230MB).
The file is called Nelson Textbook of Pediatrics - 18e.chm
It can be easily downloaded from sites like isohunt.com

I can reproduce the problem. I don't think it's related to that specific file, 
you just need a really large document. The search starts and pegs one core for 
10 seconds or so, and then it aborts and does not display any results.

If the file is very large, it takes some time for indexing.

If you wait long enough, you should be able to search in the file.

I experience this problem as well (also with large 400mb file).  I don't 
believe that waiting solves the problem.  Any suggestions?  This app is great 
otherwise, but the faulty search function makes it unusable.

Hi !
Same problem here ; The file is about 285Mo. 
I waited for a long (very long ?!) time but nothing happened. 
Any suggestions would be appreciated ;)
