What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. An incoming sms

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Notification, tone & vibration is expected and activated in the settings. 
Instead nothing happens, when a sms arrives

What version of the product are you using? "Last" is not appropriate. Make
sure you tell at least which app you are using. On what operating system?
Android 1.6, smsdroid 1.1.7, htc dream

Please provide any additional information below.
