Fishtext txt's report wrong sender (the recipient doesn't see my number but a different one) #677

I have websms set up correctly but when i send an sms with fishtext, the
receiver sees a different phone number with a different country code, if my
phone number would be 0031622334455, the receiver would see +2334455 (only the
last 7 digits of my phone number). When i send an sms via the fishnet webapp,
everything is fine. I tried default sender and custom sender with my number in
the fishtext connector but both have the same result. I am using android 4.0.3,
and I just installed websms and fishtext connector (the new one).

Sorry for the delay in responding to this.

You're not the first person to report the sender issue, but the first one where
the issue did not lie with fishtext.

Can you tell me the order of your choices on the drop-down menu on the send
page on the fishtext webinterface for "Send from"? For me it is my number
first, and then "Anonymous".

I have checked the 'send from' option from the web-app and it lists my own
number first and then Anonymous

Strange. That is the only place I can think of right now where this issue could
be caused. It is this dropdown that chooses whether to send from your phone
number or anonymously (somewhat random number owned by fishtext).

We assume that the 'send from' option chosen is the first one when we set some
of the parameters for the send request, which is why I was getting you to check
the ordering there. Again, this is the only place (that I know of) that the
choice for sending from your own number vs. anonymous is set.

Would you be comfortable, or do you have any experience, in inspecting the html
content of a page - using chrome dev tools, firefox/firebug, or similar? I can
talk you through what you are looking for.

Could you also check on your settings page in the fishtext web interface what
your options are for send from, and what you have chosen.

Thanks.
