Character "&" in message text effects send failure #720

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Using the charakter "&" in message text
2.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
"Senden fehlgeschlagen"

What version of the product are you using? "Last" is not appropriate. Make
sure you tell at least which app you are using. On what operating system?
webSMS v4.4.2 with connector freenetSMS on Motorola DEFY with Android 2.2.3
