Error getting conversation from DB #795

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Widget shows +1 icon.
2. Clicking on widget icon to open app.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected: App should open.
Instead: An error message is displayed "Error getting conversation from DB" (in
German "Fehler beim Laden des Threads!").

What version of the product are you using? "Last" is not appropriate. Make
sure you tell at least which app you are using. On what operating system?
SMSdroid v1.4.4 on Android 4.2.2

Please provide any additional information below.
- Might be a duplicate of bug 549. Starting the app using the app icon works
but doesn't solve the issue (+1 indicator stays on).
- Removing and reinstalling the app didn't help.
- Deleting all conversations didn't help.
- Deleting app data & cache didn't help.
- Indicator LED is constantly blinking.
- If a new SMS arrives, the tray icon says "2 new messages".

please provide logs from that error with the app sendlog.

1. install sendlog
2. open smsdroid by clicking the widget
3. open sendlog and send with default settings to me.

I have the same issue. Since a few days the widget shows +1 message.
I am visiting the US, have a local SIM and last what I remember was that a
friend would send a Google Maps link. I never got this message and I really
have to say I have no clue to what message the +1 widget note belongs to.
Simply there was no message. Right now I de-installed it due to the always
blinking status LED. But if helpful please let me know what test I could do. Or
is there already a solution in place? Thank you very much.

Android: 4.3.1 SlimBean ROM 4.3 from build 1 over all unstable weeklies up to

Please try this "mark all read" menu button. It should marl messages read which
do not belong to any conversation.
