Can't Update Ratgdo from Home Assistant #287

I have installed Home Assistant in a Docker on my Unraid server for the purposes of being able to update the firmware. I am using Homebridge for everything else like controlling the door.

I got Ratgdo to show up in my Home Assistant with ESPHome but it doesn't appear to be checking for firmware updates. How do I update the Ratgdo from Home Assistant? I have never used Home Assistant so would be appreciative of some detailed help.

Instead of running Home Assistant just for RATGDO, you can run ESPHome directly on your computer (https://esphome.io/guides/installing_esphome.html), compile the updated firmware (https://github.com/ratgdo/esphome-ratgdo/tree/main/static) and flash it using the OTA Update button at the bottom of the screen when visiting the IP address of your device in your browser.

Or you can re-flash your device via the RATGDO website: https://ratgdo.github.io/esphome-ratgdo/
