From what I could gather some Multi-frequency synthesis cleaning algorithms require that we output a frequency dependent psf.
See for instance:
Conway & Sault's two papers (Chapter 16 in Very Long Baseline Interferometry and the VLBA, ASP Conference Series, Vol 82, 1995 and Chapter 21 in Synthesis Imaging II, ASP Conference Series Vol. 180, 1999)
Currently I'm averaging everything together... clearly this is a bug.
