Captions causing render lag #125

During a stream, I had the closed caption plugin enable and OBS informed me that my encoder was overloading. After going over everything, I discovered that the encoder would start having render lag whenever the closed caption was enabled. I was also getting FPS drops on the stream. My computer is an AMD Ryzen 7 3700k, 16GB Ram, and using Nvidia 2070 Super for the stream encoding.

Attached are two screenshots showing the difference between the plugin disabled and enabled. This is also after a uninstall and clean reinstall of OBS 30.0.2.

Argh, I've encountered the same problem. GTX 1660 Super, with Intel Core i3-12100F, 32GB RAM. The rendering malfunction only happens with this plugin enabled. I hope there's a fix for this but there hasn't been an update in 2 years so I'm not holding my breath :(
