SMS messages often don't get shown

Very often, SMS messages I get won't get shown, I only get the "reply contact 
is ..." message.

It looks like this in my XMPP client:

    19:34:56           <- │ phone (phone@the-compiler.org) has quit (Leaving...)
    19:34:56           -> │ phone (phone@the-compiler.org) is back on server
    19:35:05        phone │ Reply contact is Twilio +18304554928

(and yes, I'm aware the phone number and message is in there -- that's my 
monitoring system, so I'm okay with that)

The SSL exceptions are probably related to 
https://code.google.com/p/gtalksms/issues/detail?id=284 - I've not tried yet if 
this also happens with SSL disabled.
