Which Google API and version (e.g. Google Tasks API version 1)?
customsearch/v1

What should the sample demonstrate (e.g. using OAuth2, using a specific
feature of that API)?
Proper steps for using API Key.

Platform (e.g. Windows, Mono, Silverlight, WP7)?
Windows

External references, such as API reference guide?

Please provide any additional information below.
Does the custom search API call need the search engine unique ID, cx parameter? 
How to obtain the CX Parameter if we don't want to display ADs.
Is there any association between the API Key and the cx parameter?
Does this require activating the Custom Search API?
I have downloaded the Google.Apis.Customsearch.v1.dll and the Google.Apis.dll.
