improve signup

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. after I signup
2. I get taken to the manage account page
3. i.e - http://test.tradiechoice.com/index.php/account/edit

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Im not a fan of the pop up, I think instead, I want the field skill to be 
highlighted in red and with the message

"If you would like to receive notifications of jobs matching your trade or 
services please complete the following field."

skillset font should not be changed, 
autofill for skill type is not working after your change.

so cant select skill type

i have not changed font. I removed text color red. Skill type autofill working 
here..

I think this can be improved more, for instance the field could be highlighted.
Then once the skillset is added we could have tickbox validation(like signup).

tickbox validation is great, but can you have the field outline highlighted in 
red, after user clicks on confirmation email and goes to say 
http://test.tradiechoice.com/index.php/signup/confirm/3c0242eb760f7811d78fdd1a05
a0abd9

So that the user knows that this field is important.
