I'm new to Gleam, so it was not easy to figure out what dependencies were missing when i tried to run that example code

Thank you for pointing this out! This installation section was a bit dated from the initial project scaffolding.

With the more involved example, I think it probably just made more sense to provide more complete, relevant instructions.

I've updated the README to reflect this. I appreciate you calling this out, it was definitely a deficiency.
