Should be fixed in 1.6.2:

[wrench] > Tools > Extensions > Developer Mode > Update extensions now

If you are effected by the messages-below-sidebar bug, Hide Nav and Custom Nav
width will not work in at the moment. I will try to fix it ASAP but I can't
replicate the issue on any of my computers which will make it difficult.

This should be fixed in 1.6.7. If you still see this happening, confirm that
Hide Inactive Scrollbar is disabled. Some have been reporting conflicts with
this feature.

Still seeing this in 1.6.7, I have confirmed Hide Inactive Scrollbar off.
However, I can confirm that if I turn off the google apps selector and log into
my regular gmail account, it works fine - this appears to be specific to google
apps accounts.

I am using a clean chrome (v8.0.552.237) profile with the latest minimalist
(v1.6.8). There seems to be issues with a lab that is causing it to not work
properly. The issue is the main window moves all the way under the nav setion.
With all labs disabled the Nav Hide/Mouse works just fine. I will report back
when I have narrowed down which lab is causing the issue.

I'm still seeing this issue when putting in a Custom Nav width. while using my
Google Apps domain. Works fine when using my GMail account with the same Labs
enabled. I disabled all the labs in my Google Apps account just in case & it
didn't help either. Nav bar does get the custom size, but the Inbox is blank.
I also cleared all the settings in Minimalist & just turned on the Custom Nav &
it did the same thing.
