chat window auto-scrolls up / goes blank

What steps will reproduce the problem?
When you are sending and receiving several messages to/from the same user and 
use the same chat window the whole time (when you don't close it between the 
messages) torchat auto-scrolls the chat window after every message. To describe 
it a bit better, when you chat with a user you see both his and your messages. 
After some messages every new messages causes the chat window to "blank" the 
screen goes all the messages are auto-scrolled upwards so you have to manually 
scroll down to see the message(s) again.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Torchat 0.9.9.530
Windows XP 32bit SP3
Windows 7 64bit SP1
