My first ISP circa 1996ish? I can't find much evidence of them in the strata of online archaeology, but this seems to be their farewell email: http://www.lowfield.co.uk/archers/termination.msg they were super, and offered a dinky control panel which i may still have on a floppy disc somewhere

Thanks for this, by the way, super project!

Do you have any paperwork that might contain official company names, or numbers, etc? Trading names are much harder to work with.

No I don't, but once i recalled their URL i found their site on archive.org. http://web.archive.org/web/19970526144552/http://www.bogo.co.uk/ does that help?

a few scraps down this page too: http://www.marketingmagazine.co.uk/article/124019/search-engine---internet-service-providers

I did a bit of digging. It looks like Bogomip are, or at least were, AS5631 (VITAL-GROUP UK). The WHOIS data from RIPE for that above-linked range gives the descr as WEB Ltd., but the only WEB Ltd. according to CH is 04016195, which was dissolved at an unknown point in the past. CH also lists a Bogomips Ltd. (so, additional 's', but very close nonetheless), however this was only incorporated in late 2013, meaning that's unlikely to be the same company. I'll update this issue if I find anything more out.

Thanks for the update, I think that it's correct that Bogo were part of WEB ltd, likewise i'll keep my eye out for any other archaeological evidences,

They were based in the Pall Mall Deposit building in West London

I was their main support person, and also wrote their interface. It was a strange, but mostly fun company. We had the basement floor in the building. When I first joined them, you would solidly hear the sound of modems being connected to. (Had to tell them about ATM0) Our first line was a fractional T1, so all users were sharing under 1,544 K bits per second.
