Issue fixed that I referenced in #3

I know this is a very minor change to a very small library, but I'm just doing spring cleaning and saw my dangling PR. If you read the issue I posted, you can see the problem it fixes and how it improves the functionality / brings it more in-line with what may be expected based on existing node modules.
