Use wav as default recording format #85

Requiring a proprietary container like mp3 is evil for several reasons.

@bklang @emcgee @crienzo: Thoughts? I wonder if we should make the default platform specific?

Using wav by default for all platforms seems like a good, generalized solution. My concern is that adding any other default platform specificity would lead to developer confusion, or at least more of a required configuration hassle.

I prefer wav as the default format.
