many force closes often when opening home assistant

What steps will reproduce the problem?
Opening home assistant will often result in a back screen.  When the home 
button is then 
pressed, a force close message appears

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Home assistant should open. I just get a black screen. This happens more then 
half of the 
time and often a coulpe of times in a row. 

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
I'm on a droid with android 2.0.  I am using the newest beta as of 11/27, 1.76 
beta I believe. 

Please provide any additional information below.

I also have had crashes while trying to open Home Assistant.
