Preferable with an option to map image to D: DVD-ROM.
(as this could then be used to play CDDA & DVD images)
Maybe "libcdio" could be ported into a Xbox library to
replace the existing ISO9660 mode 1/2 code in XBMP or
added by itself to read ISO, BIN, CUE and NRG images
direct from the harddrive or network. If you guys replace
XBMP ISO9660 code with this then maybe it can be used
to break the currect 2GB limit on ISO9660 DVD's aswell?
(PS! The is also the library XINE uses to read Audio-
CD's, SVCD's and VCD's).
libcdio = Compact Disc Input and Control Library
by R. Bernstein
The Compact Disc Input and Control library encapsulates
CD-ROM reading and control. Applications wishing to be
oblivious of the OS- and device-dependent properties of
a CD-ROM can use this library. Some support for disk
image types like BIN/CUE and NRG is available, so
applications that use this library also have the ability to
read disc images as though they were CDs. A sample
utility for displaying CD info is included.

libcdio has already been ported into a Xbox library here: www.xboxmediaplayer.de/cgi-bin/ib31/ikonboard.cgi? act=ST;f=3;t=5599
