Window title is truncated if the file name contains a hyphen #554

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open a video whose file name contains a hyphen, for example "Démo Elive -
Compiz.mpg".

What is the expected output?
The window title should contain the full file name "Démo Elive - Compiz".

What do you see instead?
The window title is truncated. Only the part after the hyphen is displayed, so
"Compiz".

What version of the product are you using?
gnome-mplayer 1.0.4

On what operating system?
Ubuntu 11.10 Alpha 3.

Please provide any additional information below.
Another example: if we open a video named "1918-04-14 - A Dog's Life.avi", the
window title is "A Dog's Life".

In what context it may be useful? Personally, if I have a file named "Démo
Elive - Compiz.mpg", I would expect to have a window title "Démo Elive -
Compiz".

The context of I want to know the title of what is playing. gnome-mplayer is
just using what mplayer reports as the title. What you are looking for is
Artist - Title, which doesn't make sense in other contexts.
