run gnome-mplayer -v from a terminal and you should see some output and then
post it here when playing a problem file.

Ok, first of all all those configure commands are probably not needed.
Configure should detect them properly.
Read this post on how to compile
http://kdekorte.blogspot.com/2011/10/105b1-of-gmtk-gnome-mplayer-and-gecko.html
Second I have attached a screen shot of the file playing properly here. It
appears you did not compile with libcurl and libmusicbrainz so you will not get
the cover art.
Third, does mplayer play the mp3 file? I'm guessing that there is something
wrong with your installed mplayer
For me mplayer will play it fine

I try to compile according to your line.
With mplayer2 gnome-mplayer works perfectly without any problems.

if you run mplayer from the command line, can you use the arrow keys to skip
around the file? Also maybe try setting the locale on the command line
LANG=en_US.utf8 gnome-mplayer
If that works, we might have a parsing error somewhere. As it seems the
messages in mplayer are localized which may be the reason why you are having
issues.

ok, i've tried recompile mplayer with en language, and now gnome-mplayer work
...
so.. there's a problem parsing string with different language, can i help in
any ways to add this multi-language support?

I think there are two places in the gmtk (gmtk_media_player.c) in thread_reader
that are affected by localized versions of mplayer.
The first place is around line 3364
if (strstr(mplayer_output->str, "Cache fill") != 0) {
The second place is around line 3409
if (strstr(mplayer_output->str, "Video: no video") != NULL) {
Which I think is the line that affected you.. I don't see mplayer issuing any
other command that says that playback has started, but there is no video
present. Probably the best place to start would be a patch to mplayer that
displays a message in that is not translated and is not shown unless it is in
slave mode. Once that patch is added to mplayer, then we could add a test for
it in gmtk.
