Java Binary Fails #3638

Open rbeckman-nextgen opened 4 years ago

rbeckman-nextgen commented 4 years ago

I have only had this occur after leaving the Connect session for an extended period of time. I will click into MIRTH Connect (appears normal) but will immidiately "blank out" white and a Java error is thrown.

"Java(TM) Platform SE binary has stopped working

A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if the solution is available."

After pressing the "Closed Program" button, the application closes but not back to the login window, it just "goes away". Imported Issue. Original Details: Reporter: kchaddock Created: 2015-05-10T20:11:45.000-0700

It's possible there's a bug or memory leak in the Administrator if that's the case. What page/view do you leave it on when it happens?

I’m almost certain the error occurs when I leave Mirth Connect open at the dashboard, however I’ve been doing lots of development lately and It could be while editing a JavaScript transformer.

Since you didn't specify, I'll assume you're working with the latest version (3.2.1). This is most likely a duplicate of MIRTH-3686.

.7650 to be specific ;)

Yes, I read through the more detailed description and issue and it does seem to be the same.

I was referring to Java version (7 or 8).

The specific update of Java might help too. FYI this shows up in the server logs when you start Mirth Connect up. Right after the "server successfully started" entry, you'll see something like "Running Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 1.8.0_45".

Java.... I was at 7 something when I first saw it, but at that point it looked like a Java issue, so I updated to "8 update 45"

Another Aspect to this (or maybe a "feature" of the new Mirth Connect). After veiwing messages, and or browsing channels, if MIRTH connect has been logged onto for an extended time (and active) I can do most anything but deploy a channel, at that point it tells me my session has ended. Upon logging back in, I see my changes where saved and the channel has one (1) delta.
