Right now you can choose to export a specific content type, or the whole message with all metadata/content in serialized XML. There should be an option to export just the metadata.
Also it would be useful if you could click on a message and Ctrl+C copy the metadata in an appropriate format. Right now you can drag-and-drop but the output format doesn't help much.
