Request for dashboard features from Mirth User - Color Code channels #746

Alessandro Torrisi had the following suggestions of dash board features: 1) Every time a modify a little bit in a channel, I have to deploy all the channels. Now I have 10 channels, but if I want to replace our Cloverleaf machine with Mirth I have more that 100 channels. So it would be nice to deploy a separate channel. 2) Can I have a second dashbord. As you can understand we have an production environment, and a test environment. I don't want to see the production channels when I am creating and developing new channels. (and as I told you we have 100 production channels, but also 100 test channels...) 3) Ok, a third request, can I give a channel a color in the dashboard, so I can see easally al the production channels, or the test channels.

Some of these issues should be addressed in 2.0.

yes, we have also same problem with mirth..when we are working on mirth production or testing ,frequently we are getting errors , when we are deploying channels..if we create new channel ,we want to deploy the new channel only..but there is no feature in mirth.its a waste of time.

custom coloring the dashboard background would be EXTREMELY HELPFUL. We have morethan one Mirth instance and being able to distinguish between the different machines will prevent serious mistakes when deploying. And for channel a highlight color or colored icon (column) would be helpful, maybe tied to the Message Storage value (Deployment, Production, Raw, Metadata, disabled) etc.

Nick, can we make sure the customizable attributes of the dashboard don't get pushed off further down the road? Even though it seems like a minor cosmetic "nice to have" issue, it really has a HUGE impact in managing multiple environments and channels. It should also be fairly simple to swap from a hardcoded color/styles to table driven... I assume it would be an extension??
