Sometimes it's really convenient to work with messages by id, but when searching for messages, you have to transcribe the message ids elsewhere in order to e.g. type them into some other search, a filter, etc.
My proposal would be to have the platform's UI-copy command (e.g. CTRL-C / CMD-C, SHIFT-CTRL-C) copy the selected message id(s) into the copy buffer, with multiples separated by newlines. Basically, exactly like you'd expect from a spreadsheet if you selected a bunch of cells and used the UI-copy command.
