Semantic classes missing float left

Hello i am using the compressor to add semantic styles but they are missing the 
"float: left" 
property. The width of the elements are properly generated, but the float is 
missing meaning i 
have to enter additional values for my semantic class manually.

"div.meta-block": ".span-4, div.span_4"
has only the following style appended:
width:150px;

Info:
Macbook pro
Mac OS X 10.5.2
ruby 1.8.6 (2007-09-24 patchlevel 111) [universal-darwin9.0]
